BRUNSWICK — Two-time Class B North defending champion Brunswick put together its second solid performance in a row to roll to a 47-0 win against Lawrence Friday night.

The Dragons, who opened the season with a 52-20 win at Hampden Academy, dominated both sides of the ball.

Brunswick made 17 first downs and churned out 432 yards of total offense while limiting Lawrence (0-2) to six first downs and 151 yards of total offense. The Dragons forced the visitors to give up the ball on downs three times.

The Dragons opened the scoring less than six minutes into the game when Ben Palizay scored on a 7-yard runs to cap a 10-play, 50-yard drive following the opening kickoff.

Brunswick scored two touchdowns late in the second quarter to break the game wide open.

With 5:12 left in the first half, Palizay scored on a 12-yard run to cap a 7-play, 39-yard drive following a Lawrence punt.

With less than a minute left, quarterback Christian Jensen threw a 19-yard scoring pass to Corban Teel to finish off a 6-play, 70-yard drive after the Dragons took over on downs.

On Brunswick’s first possession in the second half, Jensen threw a 19-yard scoring strike to Jackson Gordon on the fourth play of a 53-yard drive following another Lawrence punt.

Nick Munn made it 33-0 when he scored on a 10-yard run seven plays after the Dragons took over on downs on the Lawrence 49-yard line.

Seth White and Donald Bromley completed the scoring with short touchdown runs in the fourth quarter.
