Augusta Bridge Club

AUGUSTA — Augusta duplicate bridge club winners on Wednesday for north/south – Paul Jones and Stan Mathieu, Paul Sherman and Paul Mitnik, and Justine Angland and Nancy Glusker. East/west winners were Fred Letourneau and Sharron Hinckley, Audrey and Carroll Harding, and David Bourque and Su Morrison.

Winners on Thursday were Paul Mitnik and Debby Gardner, and Dennis Purington and Glenn Angell.

The club meets at 1 p.m. Wednesdays at Granite Hill Estates, 60 Balsam Drive, Hallowell, and 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Kennebec Plaza, 20 Willow St., Augusta. All are welcome; a partner is guaranteed. For more information, call Janet Arey at 933-4984.

HALLOWELL — Spectrum Generations William S. Cohen Community Center, announced its recent bridge and cribbage winners.

Game day bridge winners on Wednesday were Tom Hanley, who placed first; Gerene Lachapelle, second; and Sally Nelson, third.

Bridge winners on Thursday were Sally Foster, who placed first; Ed Slack, second; and Ben Parish, third.

WATERVILLE — The Waterville duplicate bridge club winners on Thursday were Betty Perry and Francis Roy, who placed first; Steve Gass and Pat Nutt, second; Jackie Gamache and Flo Fortin, third; Mike Mazzapo and Monica Mazzapo, and Marilyn Phelps and Ken Phelps, who tied for fourth; Lee Lenfest and Gabrielle Rice, fifth; and Carmen Landry and JoAnne Roderique, sixth.
