FARMINGTON — A Wilton man and an Anson woman pleaded guilty last week in Franklin County Superior Court to felony sex crimes stemming from a 2015 child molestation case.

Anna LaRochelle, 26, of Anson, pleaded guilty to visual sexual aggression against a child, Class C, and unlawful sexual conduct, Class B, in court on Thursday. On Wednesday, codefendant Jamie Ouellette, 38, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual contact, Class A, visual sexual aggression against a child, Class C, and illegal possession of a firearm, Class C, according to court documents.

Ouellette’s wife, Tami Ouellette, 43, of Wilton, is also charged as a codefendant in the case with unlawful sexual contact, Class B, and visual sexual aggression against a child, Class C. Tami Ouellette is taking her case to a jury trial, which will begin on Sept. 26.

LaRochelle and Jamie Ouellette entered their guilty pleas by way of an Alford plea, which means that they do not agree with the state’s evidence against them, but acknowledge that if the case went to a jury trial they could be found guilty.

LaRochelle is scheduled to appear in court for sentencing at 1 p.m. Oct. 21. Ouellette is scheduled to appear in court at 11 a.m. Nov. 4 for his sentencing hearing.

The trio was arrested in February 2015 following a week-long investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. They were accused of sexually molesting a child under the age of 14 since July 2014 and forcing the child to watch them have sex, according to an affidavit written by Franklin County Detective Kenneth Charles.

During a search of the Ouellettes’ home on Cemetery Road in Wilton at the time of the arrests, police found a loaded pistol in an unlocked box in their bedroom. Jamie Ouellette has a felony conviction for manslaughter and is prohibited from possessing firearms, according to the affidavit.
