During the next several weeks, crews from the Waterville Department of Public Works will trim and remove of overhanging tree limbs and vegetation from city sidewalks and streets. This is intended to promote pedestrian safety and will help to better facilitate snow removal operations during the upcoming winter season.
Residents can assist in these efforts by trimming overgrowing trees, shrubs and other plantings adjacent to sidewalks and roadways in front of their homes.
For further information or to notify public works about areas that need to be trimmed, call 680-4744.
