Fifteen years ago last week, Sept. 11, 2001, was a sad day for the United States. It was also a sad day last week when our local paper had no mention of what happened on this date 15 years ago, except for an editorial submission.
I guess I need to let this paper know that on that date there was a major terrorist attack on this country that claimed the lives of 2,996 and injured more than 6,000 others. To be fair, maybe you never heard about it. To see what happened on that date just google it.
I am one of many who will never forget what happened. Maybe by Sept. 11, 2017, you will have learned enough about it so that you will not forget.
