A few months ago, while channel surfing, I came upon a fishing program titled “Major League Fishing” — a very good show. At the end of the program, the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce was mentioned as one of the sponsors.
I contacted the Chamber of Commerce in Waterville and made contact with Kimberly Lindlof. She provided me with all the information needed for me to fly from Atlanta to Portland, and the drive up from Portland. During my weeklong stay in Waterville, she was always helpful with my side trips, which made my stay more enjoyable.
She also set up a fishing trip with Mike Heavener, town manager of Winslow. Mike is a credit to his community in addition to being an excellent fisherman. It was a pleasure to fish with him. All of this happened because of Lindlof.
Thanks to all those who made me complete one of the items on my bucket list. It all started with the call to the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce.
