GARDINER — Capital City Improv will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, Water Street. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

The comedy troupe uses audience suggestions to create a completely customized comedy show. Based in Augusta, the group has been making people laugh for more than two years with their quick witted, lighting fast short-form improv. Their 80-minute shows utilize the audience and their suggestions to create something wonderful, right on the spot.

Improv is a form of live theater where the plot, characters and all other aspects are made up on the spot, often by the audience. No two improv shows are ever the same, which keeps the performance fun and fresh for both the audience and the actors.

Tickets cost $16 for adults and $14 for seniors, this is a 18-plus show.

Tickets are available from noon to 3 p.m., Monday through Wednesday and Friday at Johnson Hall’s Box Office, by calling 582-7144 or visit www.johnsonhall.org.
