I support Wendy Ross for House District 87 (Wiscasset, Alna, Pittston, and Randolph). Wendy is familiar with the political arena, having worked for many years as a professional journalist reporting on national politics. As a volunteer, she works on the boards of the Wiscasset Library and Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights.

Her priorities include: increase access to health care, promote family friendly policies such as maternity leave, and decrease local property taxes by getting the state to meet mandated levels of education funding and revenue sharing.

She received endorsements from the Maine State Employees Association, the Maine AFL-CIO, and the Maine Education Association. Sierra Club and Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund have endorsed her for her environmental positions. Those include increasing the use of solar energy in Maine, and supporting energy efficiency, programs that protect the quality of our lakes and ocean waters, and funding for Land for Maine’s Future.
