WATERVILLE — Mental Health First Aid is set for 4-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 5 and 12, at Spectrum Generations Muskie Center, 38 Gold St.

This national, evidenced-based certification course can help participants support loved ones, colleagues, neighbors and others coping with mental illness and addiction, according to a news release from the center. At the end of the day, participants will have a five-step action plan and know where to turn for help.

Dinner will be provided. The workshops will be presented by NAMI Maine in partnership with Inland Hospital, Healthy Northern Kennebec, Kennebec Behavioral Health, and Spectrum Generations.
