The Fall Franklin County History Tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.
The following area historical societies and museums will be open for visitors to tour at their leisure:
• Dead River Historical Society in Stratton;
• Farmington Historical Society — Titcomb House, The Octagon House and North Church, all in Farmington;
• Kingfield Historical Society, Ski Museum and Stanley Museum, all in Kingfield;
• Lexington/Highland Historical Society, in Lexington;
• Maine’s Paper & Heritage Museum in Livermore Falls;
• Nowetah’s Indian Museum in New Portland;
• New Vineyard Historical Society;
• Phillips Historical Society, Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad Museum, all located in Phillips;
• Rangeley Historical Society and Outdoor Sporting Heritage, both in Rangeley;
• Maine Forestry Museum in Bradley;
• Strong Historical Society-Hammond House; and
• The Wilton Farm and Home Museums.
