RICHMOND — Matt Rines scored two first-half goals to spark Richmond to a 4-0 win over Vinalhaven in an East/West Conference boys soccer game on Saturday.

Zach Marseglia added a goal and an assist for Richmond (9-1-0) while Marson Sneddon had the other goal. Zach Small made two saves.

Isles Blackington stopped 15 shots for Vinalhaven (3-6-0).

TEMPLE 7, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 3: Bradley Smith had a hat trick to spark Temple to the win in Waterville.

Noah Shepherd added a goal and three assists for Temple (7-2-1) while Gabriel Shepherd, Nathan Riportella and Will Paradis also scored. Tim Larsen and Gabriel Shepherd each made three saves in net.

Jeff Macomber, Aaron Garcia and Alex Chi scored for Highview (0-10-2). TJ Sheldon made 13 saves.

GIRLS SOCCER

KENTS HILL 4, HYDE 0: Amelia Theriault had a hat trick to spark the Huskies to the win in Kents Hill.

Grace Chute had the other goal for Kents Hill (3-2-0). The defense of Claire Colvin, Kerri McKinnon, Nina Fulmer and Kassidy Lyons limited Hyde to six shots in the second half. Nevin Sabatini made 17 saves.

WATERVILLE 7, BELFAST 0: Sophie Webb had three goals and two assists to lift the Purple Panthers to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win in Waterville.

Anika Elias added two goals and two assists for Waterville (12-0-0) while Mackenzie St. Pierre and Jordan Jabar each had a goal and an assist.

Shera Hilt made 12 saves for Belfast (0-11-0).

RICHMOND 11, VINALHAVEN 1: Meranda Martin scored four goals to lead the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Richmond.

Caitlin Kendrick and Destiny Anair each added two goals in the win for Richmond (9-1-0), while Emily Snowden, Cassidy Harriman and Kamryn Hurley also scored. Sydney Tilton and Kennedy Chandler combined to make two saves in the victory.

Dreyenne Osgood had the lone goal for Vinalhaven.

FIELD HOCKEY

WINTHROP 2, DIRIGO 0: Breonna Feeney and Moriah Hajduk each scored to lead the Ramblers to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Dixfield.

Emily Molino and Sarah Spar had assists for Winthrop (10-2-1), while Corinna Colton made nine saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Morgan Moreau had eight saves for Dirigo (7-6-0).

LAWRENCE 4, WATERVILLE 0: Maci Larouche had two goals to pace the visiting Bulldogs to the KVAC B win.

Lexi Lewis and Nora Buck each added a goal for Lawrence (9-4-0) and Marian Zawistowski made two saves.

Coby Dangler stopped five shots for Waterville (2-10-1).
