Portland police responded to a Congress Street tattoo parlor Tuesday night after receiving a report of two unconscious men.
Lt. Gary Hutcheson said officers responded to the Hallowed Ground Body Art Studio, 610 Congress St., around 7 p.m.
Officers found two men at that location. They were taken by ambulance to Maine Medical Center.
Hutcheson was not certain that the men had overdosed, but said it was a possibility. Portland police officers were issued Narcan about two weeks ago. The prescription drug blocks the effects of opioids and can reverse an overdose, but it wasn’t clear whether the drug had been administered to the two men.
