A Sanford man was killed early Friday after his car plunged off a bridge in Lebanon.
An investigation by Maine State Police showed Jeffrey Brunelle, 32, was traveling at a high speed eastbound on Little River Road and was attempting to pass several vehicles when he lost control and struck a guardrail. Brunelle’s car plunged off the bridge into the water below.
Police believe Brunelle was killed instantly.
The accident was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m. Brunelle was the only person in the car.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, according to police.
