AUGUSTA — Capital Area Technical Center recently announced its September Students of the Month.
Ashley Harmon, a Maranacook Community High School junior, is enrolled in the Medical/Veterinarian Terminology program.
Her instructor, Karen Parker said in a CATC news release, “Ashley is a team player, highly motivated and at the top of her class. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help other students.” When she is not in school, Harmon enjoys reading fiction. She plans to work in the medical field in the future.
Austin Shaw, an Erskine Academy senior, is enrolled in the Auto Body program.
His instructor, Phil Dow said, “Austin’s attitude is impressive. He comes ready to work every day and has been a huge asset in helping other students,” according to the release. Shaw is employed by the China Dine-ah and in his spare time likes to go dirt biking and four wheeling. Next year, he plans to continue his education in automotive technology.
