I moved to Augusta from Washington, D.C., last year. This past summer Patsy Crockett came to my door looking for a previous occupant who had moved away. She could have excused herself and gone to another house, but stayed to talk about running for county commissioner.

I liked her from the start, and since then I’ve been helping with her campaign — carrying her sign in parades and working the Democrats’ Windsor Fair booth with Patsy. She is thoughtful, hardworking and honest, and I can happily encourage readers to vote for Patsy in November.
