Sen. Susan Collins recognizes what many of the rest of us have observed as well (”Sen. Susan Collins weighs in on presidential race at Harvard forum,” Oct. 15). We continue to have deep polarization across the country and in Congress.
Young people and others need to help us rebuild a sense of community, and we need to get to know one another personally as individuals. This will help us to realize that it’s acceptable to have differences of opinions and to work respectively with each for the well-being of the entire country.
