I’ve known Libby Mitchell for many years. She is truly committed to the interests of children and families through her work in the Legislature and the legal work she is doing now as an attorney. She is running to become Kennebec County’s Judge of Probate. Her past experiences in family matters and family law make her extraordinarily well suited to handle this important position.

Probate judges handle all kinds of family matters such as how family possessions are distributed after the death of a person without a will, or protecting the rights of a birth mother while providing security to the adopting family. She knows the law, but also understands that all who come before her should come away feeling they have been fairly treated. She will make an excellent Judge of Probate.
