DAMARISCOTTA — Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center will host its Wednesday Lunch and Learn program at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 521 Main St.

Nancy Laffin will discuss the history behind the Vet Center program, how it helps veterans, and what makes it different from the rest of the Veterans Administration. Jerry Short will also be present to introduce the Mobile Vet Center initiative. He will have the Lewiston RV on site for those that would like to see it.

Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniform, cap, insignia or bring a memento from the time they served to the center’s annual “Honoring Those Who Have Served” Lunch and Learn program and lunch will be free.

Advanced luncheon reservations are required. Chef Perry’s entrée of the day will be meatloaf with gravy. Call 563-1363 by noon Monday, Nov. 7, to make luncheon reservation.

Cost is $5 per person for luncheon guests older than 60. All others are $6. Community members who cannot make the lunch are welcome to attend the learn portion of the day’s program, which will begin at approximately noon.
