We would like to urge voters in District 76 to support Jill Ducharme for the Maine House of Representatives. Jill’s experience in regional economic development has focused on helping families and businesses thrive. Jill is a hard worker who thinks first about the lives of the people she serves, not political ideologies. She will energetically represent the real interests of real Mainers.
Incumbent Gary Hilliard, R-Belgrade, is a strong supporter of our increasingly erratic governor. Hilliard has frequently advanced the governor’s agenda by voting to block veto overrides, from LePage’s refusal to grant public access to the life-saving drug naloxone for overdose victims, to his undermining of support for the solar-power industry. Another term for Hilliard means empowering LePage, something that fewer and fewer of us want to see happen.
If you want less dysfunction and more good sense, vote for Jill Ducharme on Nov. 8.
