Kennebec County is fortunate to have three quality candidates running for county offices this year.

Patsy Crockett, running for commissioner, has 10 years of experience working on the important issues facing county governments, and has already served in the position for seven months. Ryan Reardon, our appointed sheriff, has quickly worked his way through the ranks to become sheriff because of his leadership skills, wide experience in all aspects of the sheriff’s department, and creative thinking on how to deal with critical law enforcement issues. Libby Mitchell, running for judge of probate, has served our county in elective office for many years, has a decade as a lawyer with experience working with children and families going through the probate court system, and familiarity with the procedures of probate.

I urge county voters to cast their votes for these three superb candidates on Nov. 8.
