The negative Republican mailer misrepresenting Henry Beck’s positions was truly offensive. Henry is deeply committed to fighting the drug epidemic in our communities and is the only Senate candidate from Waterville whose approach to solving the opiod crisis is backed by law enforcement officers across the state.
Countless police chiefs and sheriffs have testified we need a comprehensive approach in our state. They know if we want to get ahead of this crisis, treatment for addicts is as important as locking up drug dealers.
Henry voted to hire additional drug agents. He also understands that jail terms do not cure addiction, they only tear families apart. For that reason, he has fought for treatment options and federal funding that would have expanded the level of services the governor and his allies in the Legislature have made even more scarce. Join me in voting for Henry Beck on Nov. 8.
