Why is that every election there is a bond measure for road maintenance? Shouldn’t this be a regular budget item?

For far too long legislators have used the kick-the-can-down-the-road approach, knowing that Mainers have rarely seen a bond measure that doesn’t appeal, with those magical matching federal dollars. The average voter must not realize that the pennies from heaven come from his other pocket.

Bryan Cutchen can help change that, and will stand up against further fiscal irresponsibility. A Navy carrier pilot and instructor, he went on to flag rank and duty at the Pentagon.

A military budget is a finite thing — quite unlike the state of Maine budget which has become a fluid piece of artwork with no set boundaries.

We’ve been spending our children’s and grandchildren’s taxes long enough. I encourage voters in District 14 to get behind this fine candidate.
