I don’t expect that my elected officials will always agree with me, but I expect them to respond to requests and show up in the towns they represent in non-election times. Many citizens in Pittsfield rallied around the recent solar bill to support a locally growing business. Sen. Rodney Whittemore ignored our letters and requests to talk. He avoided folks in the halls of the State House numerous times.
Rep. Jeff McCabe took the time to talk with people from Pittsfield, a town that isn’t in his district. He respects it when citizen take a day off from work to go to the State House.
Having a senator who is accessible will be a refreshing change for the people of our region. Join me in voting for McCabe for the Maine Senate.
