The Magic of Christmas, a concert featuring the Portland Symphony Orchestra, The Portland Community Chorus and special guest artists, is set for noon Friday, Dec. 9, at Merrill Auditorium in Portland.

Those interested will travel with Spectrum Generations to the event. Robert Moody will strike up the biggest band in town for the 37th anniversary of the holiday extravaganza. There will be carols, classics and more as Cirque de la Symphony’s aerial acrobatics choreographed to the music.

Cost is $45; participation fee includes a concert ticket and transportation to and from Merrill Auditorium from Spectrum Generations offices in Camden or Damariscotta.

This holiday trip, provided by Country Coach Charters, will depart from Spectrum Generations:

• Knox County Aging and Disability Resource Center’s back parking lot, 87 Elm St., in Camden, at 11 a.m.

• Coastal Community Center, 521 Main St., in Damariscotta, at noon.

Advanced registration and payment are required; reservation deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. The non-refundable payment is due by 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7.
