Overcoming the issues facing rural communities in Maine requires creative problem-solving and collaboration. As a small-business owner in Pittsfield and the parent of young children, I am well aware of the challenges we face and the need for our local legislators to work with constituents to identify appropriate solutions.

I have witnessed a number of legislators who have made themselves accessible to discuss legislation and have led efforts that are important to my family, my business, and my community. I am pleased to have the opportunity to vote for two of these individuals: Jeff McCabe for Senate District 3 and Stanley Short in House District 106.

These two men are willing to listen, be responsive, and help provide a voice for their constituents. While many talk about creating jobs during campaign season, these two demonstrate the leadership needed to actually follow through once election season is over.
