HALLOWELL — Harlow Gallery’s Second Sunday event, The Artist’s Book — It’s a Foldable World!, Will be lead by Cynthia Ahlstrin, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at the gallery, 160 Water St.

Participants can learn to make multiple page book forms without the use of glue. Participants can create books that fold and flutter, then move on to complete books with Japanese styled wrap covers. No book-making experience is necessary. This event is free and open to the public.

The Harlow Gallery’s Education Committee organizes and hosts Second Sundays, the monthly series of free community art-making events is lead by volunteer presenters and is sponsored by Camden National Bank.

These events are free and open to the public. Some materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own as well. Workshops are opportunities to try something new and sharpen old skills — they are open to everyone; from beginners to professional artists and everyone in between.

Most events are perfect for families, and all ages are welcome. Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
