WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will host its annual Lights for Life service and tree lighting from 5 to 6:30 pm. Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Hospice Community Center, 304 Main St.
Hospice staff, volunteers and members of the community take time each year to celebrate the memory of their loved ones who have died by participating in the Lights for Life program.
Bill Meyer, Hospice Chaplain, MaineGeneral Hospice & Homecare will speak and provide a prayer service.
Refreshments will be available at 6 p.m., before the tree lighting.
The lights on the tree in front of the Hospice Community Center will stay on through December. During this time the names of family and friends will appear in a place of honor.
