HALLOWELL — An AARP Smart Driver Course will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Spectrum Generations, William S. Cohen Community Center, 22 Town Farm Road.
The four-hour classroom refresher course is for experienced drivers 50 and older. Topics will include safe driving strategies, defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, rules of the road and much more. The class helps drivers adjust to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.
Cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-AARP members. Coffee and light breakfast will be included. Lunch will be provided in the dining room for $5 for those older than 60 and $6 for all others.
