Two people were treated for minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday in front of the Troy General Store in Troy, police said.

The crash on Bangor Road was reported about 9:30 a.m., and Deputy Dan Thompson went to the scene in front of the store, according to a news release Wednesday from the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.

Phyllis Jones, 66, of Wellington, was driving a 2008 Hyundai Accent and had stopped in the road, trying to make a turn into the Troy General Store lot, police said. Travis Sullivan, 39, Troy, was driving behind that vehicle in his 1998 Chevrolet S-10.

The third vehicle, a 2004 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Nathan Houghton, 18, of Tilton, New Hampshire, didn’t stop and struck the Chevrolet, causing that vehicle to hit Jones’ Hyundai, police said.

Houghton and his passenger in the Jeep were taken by Unity Ambulance to a hospital with possible minor injuries, police said.
