Lunch, Learn program set for Wednesday

DAMARISCOTTA — Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center’s Wednesday Lunch and Learn program is set for 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the center at 521 Main St. In recognition of American and National Diabetes Month 2016 following the luncheon, one of LincolnHealth diabetes educators will give a “This is Diabetes” program.

LincolnHealth diabetes educators offer training, counseling and support to people who have been diagnosed with diabetes. The certified diabetes educators work with each person to help them understand how to control diabetes and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Advanced luncheon reservations are required. Chef Perry’s entrée of the day will be American Chop Suey. To make luncheon reservations, call 563-1363 by noon on Monday, Nov. 28. The cost is $5 per person for luncheon guests older than 60, with all others $6. Those who cannot make lunch are welcome to attend the learn portion, which will begin at approximately noon.
