Everyone should talk to a veteran and hear their stories. I was recently given the opportunity to visit the Cole Land Transportation Museum and interview a veteran. The veteran I interviewed was Kate Mcloud, an Air Force veteran.

Mcloud served in the Air Force for 22 years. Her job in the Air Force was financial management; she even worked at the Pentagon for a few years. During her service she said she visited at least 17 countries all over the world. To me, Mcloud is truly a hero, not only because she served in the military, but because she served for so long.

Getting the chance to interview a veteran was an amazing experience and I encourage everyone to talk to a veteran sometime. Their stories are inspiring, and they are all amazing people.

I believe veterans deserve to be honored because they all wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for an amount of up to and including their life.
