Berlin City Auto Group is donating $33,240 to 16 Maine schools as part of its Drive for Education campaign. The program receives a portion of the sale of each vehicle from the auto group’s eight dealerships.

The awards, which range from $3,500 to $950, will be directed to Lewiston public schools, Oxford Hills Middle School, MSAD 15 (Gray-New Gloucester), Congin School in Westbrook, Lyman Elementary, Windham Primary, Fred P. Hall in Portland, Saccarappa Elementary in Westbrook, Casco Bay High in Portland, Howard C. Reiche Community School in Portland, King Middle in Portland, Fairfield School in Saco, Deering High in Portland, Dyer Elementary in South Portland, South Portland High and Bayside Learning Community in Portland.

Donations also will be made in other states.

The program has raised nearly $500,000 for schools since 2011, according to a news release from the company.
