CONCORD, N.H. — Gas prices have gone up slightly in parts of northern New England.

GasBuddy shows that the average retail price went up 1.8 cents per gallon in Maine in the past week, averaging $2.28. They also went up the same amount in New Hampshire, to $2.19 a gallon. In Vermont, they stayed about the same at $2.29.

The national average of $2.21 went up 2.9 cents per gallon in the last week. It stands 20 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
