DAMARISCOTTA — In the spirit of the holiday season, Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center will host Santa’s Holiday Luncheon and a Twas the Night Before Christmas Swap on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 11:15 a.m., at the center at 521 Main St. Following the luncheon, with Santa as the guest of honor, the Evergreen String Orchestra, under the direction of Katie Newell, will perform seasonal selections. Those who attend are asked to bring a small gift to pass and exchange as “Twas the Night Before Christmas” is read.

The luncheon is also yours to create. Share a song, a poem, holiday memory or story, bring a musical instrument and create an improvisational group performing holiday tunes or leading a holiday sing-along using the center’s keyboard. Remember to wear a favorite holiday outfit (sweater, shirt, skirt, pants, tie, hat, cap, fascinator, ear muffs or jewelry).

Luncheon reservations are required. To make a baked ham luncheon reservation, call 563-1363 by noon on Monday, Dec. 19. For those older than 60 the suggested donation is $5 per person. For all others the cost is $6.50. Those who cannot make the make lunch, can attend the learn portion of the program, which will begin at noon.

Also, during the holiday luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., photographs with Santa will be taken. A $5 donation or more will benefit the venter’s Meals on Wheels program and the digital image will be sent to your e-mail account. Well-behaved and friendly pet’s are welcome to have their pictures taken with Santa and their best human friends.
