READFIELD — The string of difficult losses to open the season continued for the Maranacook boys basketball team Monday night.

Mason Shink hit a layup with 0.8 seconds left in the game to give Spruce Mountain to a come-from-behind 52-51 victory in a B South game Monday night.

The Black Bears (0-4) have lost all their games by a combined 11 points.

Shink scored a team-high 16 points and Caulin Parker added 12 to lead the Phoenix (4-0).

Kyle Wilbur scored a game-high 23 points for Maranacook while Hayden Elwell had eight points and seven rebounds.

ISLESBORO 62, TEMPLE 53: Jonathan Runnion -Bareford scored 22 points and Patrick Kehoe added 16 to lead the Eagles (1-2).

Avery Grindle also scored 16 for Islesboro.

Brad Smith scored 23 and Joe Xu had 17 to lead Temple (2-1).
