SOUTH CHINA — The Eagles made 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter as Erskine Academy took a 44-41 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball victory over Cony on Thursday.

Catherine Silva led Erskine (1-4) with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Linscott chipped in with 11 points, while Ally Bonsant grabbed 14 rebounds.

Olivia Varney scored 14 points for the Rams (0-5).

BOOTHBAY 44, MONMOUTH 37: Page Brown scored 19 points to lead the Seahawks to a big MVC win in Boothbay.

Faith Blethen added 16 points as Boothbay remained unbeaten at 6-0.

Monmouth (4-1) was led by Tia Day with 13 points and Hannah Anderson with seven.

RICHMOND 44, NYA 33: Sydney Tilton’s double-double led the Bobcats to the Class C win in Richmond.

Tilton scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Richmond (6-0) remained unbeaten. Meranda Martin added six points and seven assists.

NYA dropped to 1-4.

WISCASSET 38, HALL-DALE 33: Haylee Craig had 22 points as the Wolverines took the MVC win in Farmingdale.

Sabrina Freeman led Hall-Dale (0-5) with 12 points.

Wiscasset improved to 1-4.

MESSALONSKEE 60, MT. BLUE 23: Sophie Holmes had 27 points and eight rebounds to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Ally Turner added 11 points and seven assists for Messalonskee (5-0).

Kasadie Barker scored a team-high eight points for Mt. Blue (0-5).

BOYS BASKEBALL

RICHMOND 54, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY: Zach Small scored 26 points — including four 3-pointers — as the Bobcats beat the Panthers in Richmond.

Cody Tribbet scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Matt Rines had seven assists for Richmond (6-0).

Jake Malcom led NYA (1-4) with 11 points.

WINTHROP 73, MOUNT ABRAM 48: Garrett Tsouprake scored a game-high 21 points to lift the Ramblers to the MVC win in Winthrop.

Jacob Hickey added 15 points for Winthrop (4-0).

Mount Abram (0-5) was led by Dan Luce with 17 points and Trevor Chaput with 11.

BOYS HOCKEY

CONY/HALL-DALE/MONMOUTH 3, MASSABESIC/OOB/BONNY EAGLE 1: Cole Lockhart scored late in the third period to snap a tie and lift the Rams to the win.

Logan Leadbetter and Avery Pomerleau also scored for Cony (3-1-0). Dalton Bowie made 20 saves.

Brandon Caron scored for Massabesic (0-2-0). Kyle McKay stopped 32 shots.
