Mount Vernon observed Wreaths Across America ceremony on Dec. 19.

Robert Grenier, cemetery sexton, placed a wreath on Revolutionary War soldier Paul Blake’s grave in the Lake View Cemetery. Helen S. Sprague of Connecticut was the sponsor of the wreath, and is a distant relative of Blake. Some descendants of Blake still reside in Mount Vernon.
