Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, is brave enough to put people before party. She proves it by standing up to Trump time and again. I’m proud to see her fight to keep health care for the many Mainers who used to be uninsurable because of pre-existing health conditions. I’m proud to see her oppose defunding women’s access to preventive health care, like breast cancer screenings.
I hope that she — and Sen. Angus King — continue to look out for us, their constituents. May they be a shining example of the independent spirit of Mainers everywhere, and stand strong against anyone or any policy that gets in the way of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for every American.
Give ’em heck, Susan! You got my family’s votes.
