A spark from a cutting torch ignited foam insulation, leading to a quick spreading fire Wednesday morning, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said.

After firefighters from Gardiner and five nearby communities spent several hours extinguishing the blaze on Riverview Drive, the fire chief called the building “a total loss.”
