HALLOWELL — The Kennebec Valley Art Association invites artists and all members of the community to participate in “Posted,” a postcard art exhibition and fundraiser at the Harlow Gallery, 160 Water St.
The exhibit is set for Jan. 25-28. Postcards will be offered for sale at a set price of $30 each and can be taken home with the buyer at the time of purchase. Proceeds will support Young at Art, the annual K-8 student art show returning in March.
Artists and other Maine creatives may submit up to three postcards. Submissions by non-artists are welcome, this is an open community celebration of creativity. Everything submitted will be included in the exhibition; the show is not juried. All media are eligible. The size is 4″ x 6″, standard postcard size.
Free postcard blanks are available at the gallery. Completed postcards can be delivered to the Harlow Gallery by Saturday, Jan. 21 during open hours: noon-6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, or anytime via the mail slot in the right hand front door.
For more information, visit www.harlowgallery.org or call Cassie Bouton, gallery manager at 622-3813.
Those interested in participating are also invited to kick off the 2017 season of Second Sunday events by attending a free postcard-making workshop set for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at the gallery.
