Two motor vehicles rolled over Sunday morning after colliding on Interstate 295 in Freeport.
Maine State Trooper Marvin Hinkley said the crash took place around 10:50 a.m. at mile marker 22 in the southbound lane.
Hinkley said a 1998 Dodge Caravan operated by Leroy Ellis, 54, of Manchester changed lanes and ran into the path of a 2016 Toyota driven by Clio Bazakas, 16, of Waterville. The Toyota rolled over before coming to rest on the southbound on-ramp.
Ellis’s minivan went over the guardrail and rolled down an embankment. The on-ramp had to be closed to traffic for about one hour.
Ellis suffered minor injuries. No charges were issued to either driver.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
