Registration for the 2017 TD Beach to Beacon 10K will be open to the general public on March 10 at 7 a.m.

Last year all 4,000 slots allotted to the general public were filled online in a record three minutes, 43 seconds.

The 20th edition of the Cape Elizabeth road race will take place Aug. 5. Cape residents will be be allowed to register for 600 slots on March 9 at 7 a.m.

A lottery for the 1,950 remaining race slots will take place March 10-19, with lottery entrants announced on March 21.

Runners can register at www.beach2beacon.org. The entry fee is $50.
