Sen. Susan Collins’ support of Jeffrey Sessions is hardly a moment of conscience. She has shown, now without a doubt, that she is no Margaret Chase Smith. I can’t understand how this “moderate” Republican has betrayed her constituents in Maine so shamelessly and without regard.
Collins should understand that we will not forget this moment if she should make a future bid for office. We are watching her. This, for me, is a matter of conscience.
