AUGUSTA — Maine Conservation Corps — MLK Day of Service, seeks up to 15 volunteers to assist with its service project of collecting warm winter wear to benefit the center. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at the Augusta Community Warming Center, 9 Pleasant St.
Those who volunteer will be asked to either tally the amount of donations received, sort donations by clothing type, distribute to those in need on site or assist recipients with creating Thank-you cards.
