LAKE PLACID, NY — Waterville native Alex Jenson took ninth place in her freestyle skiing World Cup debut Friday, at Whiteface Mountain.
Jenson was in tenth place after the morning’s first run. The top 16 skiers advanced to the finals, where Jenson moved up a spot. Jenson, 21, scored 67.51 points.
Jenson earned the World Cup start with a first place finish in a qualifier last month in Winter Park, Colorado.
