A Readfield man was arrested recently on forgery and theft charges for allegedly stealing checks from his employer and withdrawing more than $28,000 from the employer’s business account.
Tyler Redlevske, 28, a construction worker, allegedly stole checks from his employer and forged his name on the checks, according to Maine State Police. He was arrested Friday in Augusta and taken to Kennebec County jail with bail set at $30,000.
The investigation began after Cpl. Diane Vance received a forgery and theft complaint in Mount Vernon. She met with the victim and discovered $28,203 had been unlawfully withdrawn from the victim’s business account since July 2015.
State police detectives investigated and identified Redlevske as the suspect.
