AUGUSTA — The University of Maine at Augusta College of Arts and Sciences and the UMA Senior College will present its next forum on the future at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at Jewett Hall on the college campus.

The loss of former employers and jobs in the state and the Country … a major concern, and a recurring theme in the recent election campaigns will be the focus.

Alan Caron, author of “Maine’s Next Economy: How the State’s Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Doers are Growing a New Prosperity,” will be the featured speaker. A weekly columnist for the Maine Sunday Telegram and the Central Maine newspapers, he will address the transition of Maine’s natural resource economy towards a more innovative and entrepreneurial future.

Marilyn Canavan will moderate the program.
