Fire departments from several towns responded to a report of a barn fire in Cornville. A dispatcher at the Somerset County Regional Communications Center said a barn was on fire on Spurwink Lane near the Spurwink school. The school building is not on fire, she said.

The fire was reported at about 5:15 p.m. at the location on West Ridge Road.

No injuries have been reported. It was not known if there were any animals in the barn.

Cornville Fire Chief Ken Hogate and Skowhegan Fire Chief Shawn Howard could not be reached for details Monday night.
