JAY — Gavin Towns came off the bench and hit a 3-pointer to spark a fourth-quarter comeback, leading Maranacook to a 60-53 win over Spruce Mountain in a Class B boys basketball game Friday night.

Towns finished with six points for the Black Bears (5-8), who trailed by 10 entering the final period. Kyle Wilbur led Maranacok with 15 points, while Silas Mohlar and Hayden Elwell added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Austin Darling finished with 17 points for Spruce Mountain (11-2).

WINTHROP 62, BOOTHBAY 47: Jacob Hickey scored 17 points to pace the Ramblers to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Winthrop.

Cam Wood added 15 points for Winthrop (15-0) while Garrett Tsouprake had 10.

Boothbay (8-7) was led by Kyle Ames with 17 points.

RICHMOND 66, RANGELEY 33: Matt Rines scored 15 points and Cody Tribbet added 14 as the Bobcats prevailed in Rangeley.

Zach Small also scored 14 points for Richmond (13-1).

Kyle LaRochelle scored 14 points to pace the Lakers (4-10).

CARRABEC 63, MONMOUTH 54: Dustin Crawford’s 28-point night led the Cobras to the MVC win in North Anson.

Evan Holzworth chipped in with 18 points for Carrabec (3-12).

Travis Hartford scored a team-high 26 points for Monmouth (3-12).

OAK HILL 54, DIRIGO 35: Darryn Bailey scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Raiders won a Mountin Valley Conference game n wales. Austin Noble scored 11 points to go along with eight assists for Oak Hill (9-6) as well.

Evan Boston scored 11 points for the Raiders as well.

Cooper Chiasson scored 15 points to lead the Cougars (4-11).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

OXFORD HILLS 51, GARDINER 43: Maighread Laliberte scored 14 points to lead the Vikings to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in South Paris.

Erin Morton also had 11 points for Oxford Hills (13-1).

Lauren Chadwick scored 14 points for Gardiner (10-4).

RICHMOND 45, RANGELEY 18: Sydney Tilton scored 26 points and MacKenzie Abbott added nine as the Bobcats cruised to the East/West Conference victory in Rangeley.

Meranda Martin added six points for Richmond (15-0).

Natasha Haley scored nine points to lead Rangeley (11-3).

MESSALONSKEE 67, BREWER 50: Sophie Holmes scored 29 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Eagles to the win in Oakland.

McKenna Brodeur added 12 points and five steals for Messalonskee (13-0) while Holmes also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Brewer (3-11) was led by Courtney Pearson with 17 points.

LAWRENCE 80, CONY 32: Five Bulldogs finished the night in double figures as Lawrence won the KVAC A game in Fairfield.

Morgan Boudreau led the way for the Bulldogs (9-5) with 15 points, while Brooklynn Lambert added 12. Miranda Lambert, Hunter Mercier and Keegan Alley all had 10 points in the win.

Sidney Avery led Cony (0-14) with 13 points.

UNIFIED BASKETBALL 

MESSALONSKEE 68, RICHMOND/HALL-DALE 55: Shawn McIntyre scored 18 points to lead the Eagles to the win in the season opener in Oakland.

Dakota Pike added 14 points in the win for Messalonskee (1-0).

Eric Lombard scored a game-high 24 points for Richmond (0-1), while Emma Chase chipped in with 10 points.
