I was disappointed that the Editorial Board stooped to the level of calling our governor a “fool.” (“Our View: LePage again makes Maine look bigoted,” Jan. 18).

The Holy Bible admonishes us use restraint in such matters: (Matthew 5:22) — “But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’ shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.”

While you served to properly rectify the governor’s revision of history, you lost credibility with me when you stooped to the level of name-calling, especially one so powerful as to be called a “fool.” Come on, you folks are better than that.
